Inspired by the Football Supporter Map of London, posted at Big Think, I spent many hours, days and weeks researching supporters trends around the diverse and tribal regions of Wales. The results of my findings have been plotted on the map below.

Wrexham ..?
Ha ha ha , sorry Gary, non league doesn’t count
I’m a big Wrexham supporter, it might be non-league (at the moment) but it is the biggest club in north Wales with over 3,500 come to watch home games, why not include it? I know fans who come from as far as Llangefni and Bala who travel to watch Wrexham play like Brazil every home game.
Arfon bach, it’s a piss take! My original comment was tongue in cheek …
Forget Wrexham. What about Leeds United for the demographic that still lusts after Suzi Quatro?
It’s funny ’cause it’s true
ble ma Llanboidy de?
You’ve also missed out the swathes of Mid Wales who make the epic journey to Edgar Street on a regular basis.
I live on Anglesey (hence the name) and there’s a few Cardiff supporters here, plus its clogged up with bloody leeds fans!
There are plenty of Swansea supporters in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. They’re not all from West Glamorgan!
Cheers,
The Gaffer
Not sure Mid Wales is totally united! There are lost of Liverpool here, plus lots of Wolves, Birmingham and Villa
In the town/county of Wrexham there are many more people who would identify themselves as WFC than any other single club, although the other Premiership teams combined would beat this number. Also lots of Wrexham fans in Flintshire especially, and Denbighshire, with some others up the North Wales coast. Liverpool and Everton are better supported than Man Utd in North Wales especially to the east.
There are some Chester fans in the Deeside area of Flintshire, and some Shrewsbury fans in some eastern areas of mid Wales. I am not sure of the intricacies of South Wales.
I would agree that Manchester United are probably the best supported team in Wales overall. They’re a pretty big club, I suppose.
David, it’s a joke.
Fair do’s.
